Warm-Ups

Dec 8, 2022For Parents, Resources, Updates

Why do we need Warm-Ups?

Warm-Ups are required to be worn on all podiums at regional, state, and national events. This includes Pacific Northwest Cups, RYCs, SYCs, ROCs, NACs, JOs, and more.

We highly recommend that if you are competing at tournaments, then you should have a set of warm-ups. If you have a jacket but not pants, knickers are acceptable. Unacceptable pants include; jeans, unmatching or matching sweatpants, etc. Even if the sweats are the same color they cannot be worn on the podium.

If the fencer does not have NWFC warm-ups, they must wear their white fencing uniform. This policy for warm-ups has been modeled after USA Fencing.

The NWFC ‘Team’

At NWFC, it is not uncommon for members of our fencing family to have their own warmup jacket too. Cheer on the team, Moms and Dads are welcome to order too! We also offer club gear through SquadLocker for parents and fans looking for more options.

All NWFC Warm-Ups are personalized with a name of your choice. For the athletes is it standard to use their first name. In the past, parents and other supporters have had things like “X’s Dad” embroidered instead.

How to Order:

Orders are placed twice a year, in fall and spring. To place an order, fill out an order form and give it to the front desk. To be notified when the next order is going to be placed, sign up for our newsletter.

We will take care of all personalization for you. Simply specify what you would like on your jacket and we will notify you when it is done.

When you get our message saying your warmup is ready, pick it up at the Front Desk your next time at the club.
