Steliana Strugar
2026 LEAVING THE NEST SENIORS
Steliana Strugar is passionate about art, medical science, and fencing! She started her fencing journey at 6 years old, and after being inspired by her brother Marcus, she started competing at the age of 10. Over the years, she’s traveled all over the U.S. for competitions while making life-long memories.
When she’s not fencing, she manages her Etsy business that sells polymer clay figures while also filming art videos for YouTube. At the same time, she explores her interest in the medical field, which has led her to explore neuroscience, public speaking for mental health, and even becoming a certified medical assistant. In her free time, you can find her drawing or playing with her dogs.
Some of her favorite memories from fencing include supporting her teammates during tournaments and practice and winning the Div II Summer Nationals in 2024. Fencing has helped her gain confidence in her future endeavors, both in and out of fencing. She is forever grateful to her coaches and teammates for supporting her while being a part of an amazing community. As she pursues a career as a neurologist, she plans to continue fencing at Cleveland State University while studying in the pre-medicine program.
