Kevin Du
2026 LEAVING THE NEST SENIORS
Kevin Du entered the fencing club armed with three things: an épée, questionable sleep habits from late night debugging sessions, and the unwavering confidence of someone who says “this exploit should work” moments before crashing the entire environment. Over the years, he grew into a standout épée fencer known for sharp touches, sharper comebacks, and an uncanny ability to connect fencing strategy, cryptography, and obscure coding references in the same conversation.
Off the strip, Kevin can usually be found competing in cybersecurity competitions, disappearing into terminal windows for unhealthy amounts of time, or explaining why something “technically isn’t malware.” Despite the chaos, he somehow still plans to become a data scientist one day, proving that even the most sleep deprived cybersecurity competitors can dream in spreadsheets, models, and suspiciously large datasets.
As Kevin leaves the nest to the University of California San Diego, we wish him continued success in fencing, future internships, and servers that never segfault at the worst possible moment. May his attacks always land, his code compiles on the first try, and his CTF challenges never require guessing.
