Rose Parker
After watching my older brother fence for a year, I could not resist trying the same sport at age seven. I was immediately in love with the excitement, strategy, and empowerment of fencing, and this passion immensely grew when I began competing nationally at age ten. Since then, the memories I made, personal growth I underwent, and family members I gained in my teammates and coaches remain my inspiration and motivation. Outside of fencing, I enjoy singing, student leadership, and anything outdoorsy. I intend on majoring in political science and minoring in Spanish at Vassar, and look forward to a lifetime of fencing.
