Adults only Athena Project Foil & Epee Camp!

The Athena Project Camps are for women only, and this adult-only camp will be led by two incredible coaches: Sandra Marchant (epee) and Ioana Doltu (foil)!
If you attended this camp in May 2025, you know they bring the energy and fun with the skills to up your game! You can expect personalized feedback that will enhance your skills and help you get to the next level. 

Our top-notch fencing gym in beautiful Portland, Oregon, will be another highlight of your time here. And lunch is included! Private lessons will be available for purchase during the camp weekend.

Schedule:
9-4 with a 1 hr lunch break.

Private Lessons:
Twenty-minute lessons will be available for $50 each.

MISC Details:
Lunch is included. Lunch will be a simple sandwich and salad bar. We have a microwave and refrigerator if you would like to bring your own.
List your special needs & allergies at the time of registration. Bring a water bottle and snacks if necessary.
Please ensure you list your size for the camp T-shirts. For Athena Camps, we order unisex sizes.

THANKSGIVING EPEE CAMP

Train with Olympic Champion, Masaru Yamada!

Masaru will be back at NWFC for the Thanksgiving weekend for a 2 1/2 day camp!

Schedule:
Friday 9-4 pm. Private lessons 3-5 pm with lunch from 12-1 pm
Saturday 1-4 pm. Private lessons 10-12 pm & 4-5 pm
Sunday 9-4 pm. Private lessons 3-5 pm with lunch from 12-1 pm

SPACE IS LIMITED TO 40 FENCERS!

Cost: Register early!
Early registration club member price: $300
Non-club member price: $350
Registration after Nov 1st: $400

Private lessons are $50 each, and payment is due the day of the lesson. Campers will be able to take ONE private lesson to start. If there is time in the schedule, Masaru may give more than one lesson per camper. 
NWFC members can not use previously purchased packaged lessons.

2 weeks before camp starts: 50% refund.

Lunch will be provided on Friday and Sunday.

Lunch Menu for Friday & Sunday: Soup, sandwiches, and a salad bar. A refrigerator and a microwave will be available if you’d like to bring your own lunch. Campers should bring a water bottle and snacks.

Please list allergies, accommodations, & t-shirt size at registration.

Kent and Yumiko Iyoki will offer translation.

Fencers must be competing at least at a regional level or higher.

Adult and veteran EPEE camp with Cody Mattern and Michael McTigue is June 14th and & 15, 2025!

Camps at Northwest Fencing Center are designed for different age and skill groups. With options for all ages and experience levels, NWFC’s camps focus on the core foundations of fencing and immerse the fencer in a weekend of learning and experience with a variety of athletes and styles. This Adult and Vet camp is no different. We strive to provide a supportive, inspiring, and fun atmosphere to foster a love of the sport.

Ages 21+ only

This year, we welcome Olympic champions Maxime Pauty, Koki Kana, and Masaru Yamada! These three fencers hold 7 Olympic medals, for individual and team gold medals! They’ll join NWFC’s fencing masters for a week of fun and enlightening training. Camp runs from Sunday, 8/3/2025, through Thursday, 8/7/2025, because of the guest athlete’s availability and travel schedule. Anyone who wishes to stay can participate in an additional evening of open bouting at NWFC on Friday night!
