Northwest Fencing Center
Oregon’s premier location for epee and foil fencing
NWFC began as a group of dedicated fencing athletes and quickly grew to become a pioneer of fencing in Oregon. Today, we continue to grow and are known as an international training and competition hub.
In 2022, we moved to our new facility in Tigard, Oregon, designed and built just for us. With 21 strips, a cushioned flooring system, and all-new gear, we can’t wait to see where this step takes us next.
Our Coaches and Administrative Staff are dedicated to providing a supportive, inspiring, and fun atmosphere. Our goal is to foster a love of the sport and the growth of the athlete, both on the strip and off.
At NWFC, we are a community of friends, colleagues, and athletes. We are committed to providing the best possible instruction for you or your athlete in an encouraging, yet challenging environment.
Support NWFC this Giving Tuesday!
Thanks to support from our donors, we are able to maintain a healthy financial aid program and continue our mission to make fencing as accessible as possible.
Announcing The Athena Project!
The Athena Project is an all-new NWFC initiative. Designed to support women and girls in fencing, this 2-day camp will turn our 20,000-square-foot facility into a women-only space for an entire weekend.

With the 2023 summer nationals coming to an end, we have many results and other accomplishments to celebrate. Our fencers earned medals, their NWFC patches, and one athlete even qualified for the world team!
Anika Kale started at NWFC at about eleven when her world was consumed by soccer, music, and robotics. A kid’s mention of fencing at a theater camp captured Anika’s imagination so completely, she could think of little else. One trial lesson later, she was hooked. Not only did she discover her sport but she found her other home, her other family, and her tribe.
