Dear Friends,
It is with great sadness that I share with you that my dear wife, Theresa Robb Volkmann, age 61, passed away peacefully early on October 9, 2025 in Reno, Nevada, after her long battle with dementia.
Theresa loved the Northwest Fencing Center and greatly enjoyed participating in and advancing NWFC and her son, Daniel Volkmann, within it. She and Daniel would travel from Vancouver, Washington, almost every day so Daniel could practice fencing with his friends and epic coach Cody. She traveled to many tournaments across the county and abroad to help support Daniel and other NWFC fencers. She was extremely proud to have served on the NWFC Board of Directors and ecstatic when Daniel became a coach there.
Theresa and I married in 1995, and together we shared 30 years of marriage. She is also survived by her immediate family: our son, Daniel Robb Volkmann, of Vancouver, Washington; her sister, Bridget E. Robb; her brothers, John Raymond Robb and Paul Daniel Robb; her nephews, Christopher Daniel Peck, Brian Patrick Peck, Michael John Peck, Timothy John Robb, and Lucas Sean Robb; and her sisters-in-law, Lora Rose Robb and Rique Tina Robb, all of Reno.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that gifts be made in Theresa’s memory to NWFC or a charity of one’s choice.
