About the Regional Junior Cadet Circuit (RJCC)

The Regional Junior Cadet Circuit (RJCC) is designed to promote and develop strong regional tournaments for Junior/Cadet aged fencer who seeks competitive opportunities beyond the local and division levels but below the NAC Junior/Cadet levels.

The RJCC point standings are calculated according to the following guidelines:

In each RJCC category (Junior and Cadet), points will be awarded using the formula below, RJCC tournaments will award points to all participants:

((# entries – place + 1) / # entries) x 100 points

For purposes of determining a fencer’s RJCC point list placement, the fencer’s best two results from current season Junior or Cadet tournaments will be utilized to determine a fencer’s eligibility for Junior Olympic Fencing Championships or July Challenge.

The winner of each RJCC, regardless of size of field, will earn 100 points. The size of the participant field is based on all athletes in the event, regardless of region.

Regional RJCC Points are only earned in the fencers own region.

Regional Junior Cadet Circuit tournaments are open to current USFA competitive members eligible to fence in Open competitions and to foreign fencers with current FIE licenses. However, foreign fencers are not eligible to compete in Junior Olympic Fencing Championship events.
