Simon Abram
Simon was a fencing master in Aix en Provence, France. He earned his Master of Arms degree in Paris when he was 21. He is a two-time French National Team Championship bronze medalist and the captain of the 2009 Men's Foil U.S. National Championship winning team. He was a member of the French Junior National Team from 2002 to 2005.

Cody Mattern- Olympian
Cody started fencing in 1996 right here at Salle Auriol! He was the US Junior National champion in epee in 1998 and also in 1999. In 2000 he started coaching at the NWFC as an assistant coach and started the homeschool youth program. In 2001 he won the US division 1A and division 1 national championship.
In 2004 he took home the silver at the World Cup Grand Prix, which was the first and still the highest finish at a Grand Prix World Cup. In 2005 Cody joined the Army's world class athlete program. He was an Olympic fencer at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Games.
In 2010 Cody was on the US Men's Epee team that took the silver medal at the Paris World Championships, which was the first Men's fencing World Championship medal. Then in 2012 was on the Men's Epee team that won the World Championship in Kiev, the first men's fencing World Championship title in US history. Cody decided to retire from competitive fencing after the 2012 London Olympics, and coach back here in Beaverton.
Cody is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Science in psychology at Penn State University. When he isn't fencing Cody enjoys origami, cycling, playing his guitar, and Science Fiction.

Josh Fowler
Josh has been fencing epee for several years. He is a member of the NWFC's Senior Epee Team and won the 2012 US National Team Championship.

Vincent Camillo
Vincent has been fencing foil and Epee for years. He has coached at Mission High School in San Francisco and he was the founder of the Panhandle Fencing Club (meeting in the panhandle of Golden Gate Park). He holds an A rating in Epee and is actively seeking his A in Foil.

Seth Baldwin
Seth is a former nationally ranked Men's Epee fencer and a bronze medalist in Division 1 at Summer Nationals. Seth has coached fencing for several years. He teaches in the Pre-Competitive and Competitive programs.

Mika Maruyama
Mika has competed both in foil and epee, nationally and internationally for 20 years. She has trained in Japan and in Germany before joining us at NWFC, and has competed in World Cups representing the Japanese National Team. Mika has a Ph.D. in psychology and currently works as a psychology professor. She assists students in the Youth, Youth Competitive and Pre-Competitive programs.

Louis D'Agnese
Louis is the new marketing manager/office assistant. He has been fencing since he was 5 and loves helping out wherever he can, be it computer issues, or fencing questions!

Sebastien Dos Santos
Sebastien is the current U.S. National Coach for Men's Epee. He was a member of the French National Modern Pentathlon team, and is a four-time national champion and international gold medalist. Sebastien was the head coach for the 2004 French Women's Modern Pentathlon Olympic team and the 2008 Brazilian Modern Pentathlon team.
Sebastien was the 2012 London Olympic games U.S Coach and has relocated to Bordeaux France.
