Classes

Come learn the exciting sport of fencing! Often called a physical game of chess, fencing develops endurance, coordination, agility, poise and balance. While fencing is a physical sport, it is also a mental game requiring concentration, quick decision-making and problem-solving. It’s an ideal activity for people of all ages and sizes.

All classes are run on an on-going basis and new students may join at any time. We encourage anyone interested in classes to come and participate; the first week is free. Equipment is provided for all beginning students.

Program Fee’s and Account Charges

Program fees and account charges are due and payable the first of each month.  Program fees apply on a calendar month basis.  The exact number of classes may vary slightly from month to month; the fee is the same regardless of the number of classes held that month.  Program fees for the first month may be prorated to 50% if the student joins after the 15th of the month.  After a student’s first month, there is no prorating for missed classes. You may make up any class missed during other class times within the month. Exceptions will be made for illness or injuries if you call or email the club letting us know within a reasonable time period of 3-5 days after missing classes.

NWFC does not prorate the month if the club is closed due to inclement weather. We will however try and make up classes sometime during the year. Most likely a mini camp held on the weekend depending on the length of closure.

A late fee of $10 per account will be charged if dues are not received by the 25th of the month.

Discounts for families: 20% for 2nd fencer, 50% for each additional.  Discounts will be applied in order of program cost, from most expensive to least expensive.  Does not apply to annual dues, locker fees, gym fees, private lessons, or coaching fees.
