Adult Training Camp


No one under 21 years old is qualified.

The camp’s emphasis will be on tactical awareness; each athlete will be challenged to understand and develop the elements which make their game successful.

Fencing activities include warm-up routine, technical and tactical drills, critical thinking exercises and mental preparation.

Camp also includes lunches, evening activities in Portland and optional Sport massage (subject to availability).

Camp starts on May 27th at 10am. Doors open at 9am.

9:00am to 10:00am: Line Drills

10:00am to 12:00pm: Morning Training Session

12:00pm to 2:00pm: Lunch Break

2:00pm to 4:00pm: Afternoon Training Session

4:00pm to 5:00pm: Free Fencing


Evening activities will be on Saturday and Sunday




  • 3 days of fencing instruction
  • Lunch each day
  • During Saturday & Sunday evening activities, 1st round is on us!


Christophe Duclos

Christophe is a Level 2 French Fencing Master. He was the national coach for Jordan in 2005 and for Qatar from 2006 to 2011.

Cody Mattern

Cody was a member of the 2004 Men’s Epee Olympic team. He was a member of the US Team that took silver at the 2010 World Championships, and a member of the US Team that won the 2012 World Championships.

Yves Auriol

Fencing Master since 1975. 4-time Olympic Coach. Started Salle Auriol Fencing Club in Portland in 1975, which later came to be NWFC. Has coached many US National Champions over the years.
